Can you stop eating candy after just one piece? Do you ever crave sugar, coffee, peanut butter, or alcohol? Can you go for three or more hours without eating and not experience the shakes, fatigue, perspiration, irritability, depression, or anxiety? These are three of the questions on a quiz taken from Dr. Nancy Appleton’s book, Lick the Sugar Habit.   Not surprisingly, participants in a seminar hosted by Allanté Hair Salon in April all tested “sugar-sensitive.” The same author further provides 146 reasons why sugar is ruining your health!   Dr. Appleton notes that sugar is enemy #1 of the bowel movement and that sugar can cause many types of cancer. It can also cause headaches, including migraine, and it can adversely affect children’s grades and cause learning disorders.   Too much sugar can kill your sex life! In addition, sugar can contribute to Alzheimer’s disease, and it can cause premature aging.

Consequently, Dr. Sara Vivona, from The Integrative Health & Wellness Center in Greensburg, promoted a local solution for those who are addicted to sugar. She demonstrated one aspect of The Nutrition Response Testing Analysis. It involved her contacting areas on the participant’s body with her hand rather than with an electro-cardiograph machine. With her other hand, she tested the muscle of the participant’s extended arm. If the organ / area being contacted were “active,” the nervous system would respond by reducing energy to the extended arm, and the arm would weaken and drop. The drop would signify underlying stress or dysfunction, which can affect one’s health.

How then can the body repair itself in order to attain and maintain more optimum health? Dr. Sara and her colleagues say the answer is “DESIGNED CLINICAL NUTRITION.” Once patients have been fully tested to see the exact nutrients they need to supplement their current diets, they can start a personalized program. In most cases they will be given concentrated, whole food in a tablet, capsule or powder, prepared using a unique manufacturing process that preserves all of the active enzymes and vital components that will make it work as Nature intended. Unfortunately, much of what is commercially available in grocery stores or restaurants today lacks the quality of whole foods. And over-the -counter vitamins are not made from whole foods either. The highly concentrated therapeutic formulations available through The Integrative Health and Wellness Center can really “supplement” one’s current diet.

The results for many patients have been amazing! Their testimonials speak volumes and are available for your perusal at the center or by contacting   Dr. Sara and her team of doctors can first analyze your body’s current health status and then design a natural health improvement program for you. Because of such a personalized step by step approach, your chances of greatly improving your health can be as high as 90% or better!
